MODERN TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS

A three-dimensional space of possibilities

HOLO vectors is an innovative platform for the automatic processing of medical images. Based on DICOM files, doctors automatically receive images of anatomical structures displayed as three-dimensional holograms in AR (Augmented Reality) goggles. HOLO vectors implements augmented reality for medics to facilitate the precision of ongoing procedures and preoperative planning.

Treatment

A solution that integrates augmented reality into the daily practice of the medical team. From the workstation position, the assistant can access a range of functions that allow him to manage the 3D images seen by the operator. The operator, on the other hand, can delegate equipment setup tasks and fully focus on analyzing anatomical structures. The treatment version increases the efficiency of communication and team coordination.

The product is not a certified medical device.

Cabinet

A modern tool that allows medical images (CT, MRI) to be displayed as holograms in the office. Doctors can increase confidence in patients by showing patients 3D models of their anatomy and the course of planned procedures. The office version assists in planning procedures and facilitates the development of complex cases in consultation with other specialists.

Educational

A mobile solution for lecturers and students to present educational materials in the form of holograms. Professors can use them to show detailed anatomical structures and medical cases, allowing students to learn more about anatomy and understand complex pathologies. The educational version supports effective learning and enables better understanding of the material.

TOWARDS INNOVATION

Medicine

With HOLO vectors, surgeons gain the ability to view a patient’s complete medical data, especially 3D images of the patient’s anatomy.
The doctor has immediate access to information without distracting from the patient.
HOLO vectors provide excellent study reading and support during procedures.

Development

We are conducting research to identify functional possibilities of AR and AI in various medical specialties.
We encourage medical facilities and doctors to test HOLO vectors technology in their fields. We are open to ideas and together with professionals we develop further parts of the software.

Education

HOLO vectors technology supports doctors at every stage of training, from better understanding of anatomical structures through realistic 3D visualizations to training in medical procedures. It creates a new environment where young doctors can gain experience.

Want to schedule a demonstration of our technology?

Training and workshops

HOLO vectors offers individual and group trainings for medical professionals, focusing on the practical use of augmented reality. We organize workshops at our VR Incubator Center for Medical Innovation and Technology. We also give lectures at technical and medical universities, presenting the possibilities of using AR in medicine and education.

Interesting facts from the AR world

What is Augmented Reality?

Augmented Reality is the integration of real-world environments with digitally generated elements created using holographic technology. AR utilizes colors and shapes as reference points in space, enabling the interactive creation of objects in real-time.

What is the difference between AR and VR? Although often confused, they offer different utilization possibilities, especially in medicine. Unlike Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) creates a completely digital environment, isolating the user from the real world.

History

Augmented Reality dates back to the 1960s when Ivan Sutherland, a pioneer in computer graphics, created the first AR prototype. He used goggles to present 3D graphics. In the 1970s and 1980s, a small group of researchers from the U.S. Air Force and NASA continued research on AR.

The breakthrough for AR came in 2000, when “ARQuake,” the first Augmented Reality game, appeared on the market. With the advancement of smartphone technology, AR gained popularity. Although initially successful in the world of gaming, it is now rapidly evolving in other fields, including medicine.

AR Surgeries

One of the first AR surgeries was performed in 2017 by neuroradiologist Wendell Gibby. Utilizing data from MRI and CT scans, he could visualize the patient’s spine in the form of 3D graphics. This allowed him to precisely locate the source of the pain. A year earlier, Dr. Shafi Ahmed used goggles to live-stream tumor removal surgery. During the procedure, medical students were able to observe the entire process in real-time. In France, a vision correction surgery was conducted where the patient used VR glasses. This enabled doctors to monitor the brain in real-time and avoid vision loss for the patient.

We believe that HOLO vectors will also become a key part of the history of Augmented Reality in medicine.
